Moxy Health Policy & Consulting, LLC was founded in 2016 by Coleen Lawrence, after serving for fifteen years in the public sector under the Department of Health in Human Services with Nevada Medicaid. As Chief of the Clinical Policy Team a variety of system-wide initiatives for Nevada were successfully accomplished in collaboration with stakeholders, such as;

In 2018, Coleen founded Moxy Up, a non-profit organization that promotes good health through mentoring practices including providing a safe, inclusive environment for young people and their families to explore, create, learn and grow through improving social and health determinants.

Therapy

  • How does therapy work with Moxy Up and Crisis?
  • Moxy Up will provide short-term, brief therapy services as needed to youth and families to assist in the stabilization of the crisis.
  • For youth who are being treated by a community provider the Team will coordinate a hand-off back to the youth’s treating clinician.

Here are some warning signs that may help if a loved one is at risk of suicide. Look for changes if the behavior is new, has increased or is related to a specific event in your loved one’s life.

  • Talking about wanting to die or to kill themselves
  • Looking for a way to kill themselves, like searching online or buying a gun
  • Talking about feeling hopeless or having no reason to live
  • Talking about feeling trapped or in unbearable pain
  • Talking about being a burden to others
  • Increasing the use of alcohol or drugs
  • Acting anxious or agitated; behaving recklessly
  • Sleeping too little or too much
  • Withdrawing or isolating themselves
  • Showing rage or talking about seeking revenge
  • Extreme mood swings
